The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said a 27-year-old Emmaus man was found submerged in a pond in the 8500 block of Allemaengel Road, Lynn Township, May 23.

The man was pronounced dead at 6:03 p.m. at the scene.

As with all water-related deaths investigated by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center, an autopsy will be completed at the center to assist in determining the cause and manner of death. The autopsy was scheduled for May 26.

The man has been positively identified, and his family and next of kin have been notified, but his identity is not being released at this time.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the Pennsylvania State Police, Fogelsville barracks, are also investigating this incident.
