Bath: Bike night scheduled for June 13 at Petersville club

Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road, will be holding a bike night 5 p.m. June 13 under the pavilion. It is open to the public.

There will be free food, cold drinks and good times.

The Bath free market will be open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. June 13 at Ciff Cowling Field, 301 Allen St.

Bath Lions Club will have its next meeting 6:30 p.m. June 17 at My Place Pizza, 270 E. Northampton St. Guests and new members are always welcome.

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, invites all to the crafts social gathering from 10 a.m. to noon June 18. Bring your latest craft project and enjoy good company, refreshments and the historical setting.

This group meets the first and third Thursday of the month.

The Bath Museum, 121 S. Walnut St., Bath, will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 20.

Governor Wolf Historical Society will be open 1-3 p.m. June 20 for tours of the historic buildings, grounds and new museum.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will have its first outdoor service of the summer June 21. The service will begin 9:30 a.m. at the pavilion, weather permitting. Grab your lawn chairs and/or blankets.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church will have a painting and learning event starting 2 p.m. June 27. Kelly Cascario will host the event, to be held in the pavilion or in the parlor if it rains.

Participants will paint the burning bush scene that’s from Exodus 3:1-10.

There is a cost, and all supplies will be included.

Sign up if you plan on attending. Sign-up sheets are located in the gathering area and the fellowship hall.

During the month of June, Emmanuel’s church will help Bath Area Food Bank by collecting jelly and cereal. There is also a special need for elbow macaroni, peanut butter and canned tomatoes or sauce.

Donations can be dropped off in the bins in the fellowship hall or the upstairs gathering area.

Bath Area Food Bank is always in need of monetary donations and gift cards (preferably Ahart’s), which stretch farther than any amount of food we can give.

Emmanuel’s would like to congratulate five young adults as they affirmed their faith during the Rite of Confirmation May 24. Congratulations go out to Kayla Breen, Katie Johnson, Zeke Knerr, Mason Kohler and Brody Rosenberger.
