Cement Worker of the Month Jeremy Roguski

Amrize, Cementon

Mr. Jeremy Roguski was raised in Northampton, graduating from Northampton High School in 1997. He majored in welding in the vocational technical program.

Jeremy’s first job was with Jaflo Tree Service, at a wage of $6.50 per hour. He later worked for Binney and Smith and Quality Stone before he began his cement career at Lafarge, now Amrize, located in Cementon.

Jeremy recalled, “I was hired at the plant on March 11, 2002, at a rate of $10.60 per hour starting on the tire dock.”

Jeremy’s work progression has included utility man, plastic shredder and quarry crusher, and today, he is on the plant maintenance team.

The maintenance team is headed by Mr. Stephen Good. The team works in every area of the plant to make the plant more efficient. Safety is a primary concern.

Mr. Roguski said, “We have a hardworking team that works closely to keep the plant in good operating order. I enjoy my job because each day brings a new challenge.”

In his spare time, he enjoys working on his collection of automobiles and trucks and riding his motorcycle.

Mr. Roguski has a friendly personality, is a dedicated cement worker, following a family tradition in the industry. His father, John, had a long cement career with Essroc.

We wish Mr. Roguski and all my friends at Amrize a safe and prosperous year at the century-old Cementon plant.
