Borough holds sixth Catty Eats Fest

The Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce partnered with the borough of Catasauqua to host the sixth annual Catty Eats Fest May 2 at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St.

The event, sponsored by Budget Store & Lock Self Storage on Lehigh Street, spanned across the American Street side of the park and included food trucks and booths located in the parking lot, while the park’s amphitheater area hosted live bands and craft and business vendors.

According to Chloe Krempasky, Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce manager of affiliated chambers, the event was free to attend and hosted more than 10 food vendors and 25-plus craft and business vendors, including local Girl Scout Junior Troop 6955 and Cadette-Ambassador Troop 6138.

Event attendees were able to enjoy performances from two live bands throughout the day, and some business vendors offered discounted services for attending the event, held games for attendees to win prizes or even gave away items like pens.

Food options ranged from Puerto Rican street food to ice cream and even wine and cider.
