Eleanor E. Marsh
Eleanor “Ellie” E. Marsh, 90, died peacefully May 7, 2026, in her home at South Mountain Memory Care in Emmaus.
She was the daughter of the late Gladys (Keller) and Eldon Druckenmiller. She was the wife of the late Jack R. Marsh for 67 years.
She was a 1954 graduate of Emmaus High School where she played the clarinet in the school’s band, was president of the glee club and editor of the Tattler staff. Long after high school, she continued to work on the class reunion committee. Later in life she opened the drapery business Marsh Custom Drapes with her husband and dressed her customers’ windows with beautiful one-of-a-kind window treatments.
As a young woman, she volunteered as a Webelo Cub Scout den mother and elementary school crossing guard. She also served as past president of the Soroptimist Club of Emmaus, was an active member of the Mack Truck Retirees and the Emmaus Historical Society.
She was a devoted member of St. John’s UCC in Emmaus.
She is survived by her children: Deborah DeLong (Randy), Audrey Lauer (Gary), Wanda Fretz (Jay, deceased), Hugh; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Bruce, Frederick and Roy.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. May 27 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A visitation will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
