Dorothy ‘Dottie’ M. Hofelich
Dorothy “Dottie” M. Hofelich, 96, of Fullerton, died May 12, 2026, while a guest at Legend of Allentown. She was the wife of the late Harry “Mickey” L. Hofelich Jr. for 47 years.
Born in Fullerton, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Susanna (Kulhamer) Pudleiner.
She was a 1947 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.
She retired as an executive secretary at Allentown Portland Cement, a division of National Gypsum.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, where she volunteered weekly in the rectory, counting collections, folding bulletins, assembling mailings and was a mainstay at all church festivals.
She assisted in setting up the St. Elizabeth Regional School library and volunteered at many of the school activities. She was a member of the Golden Agers and very active with the former Women of St. Elizabeth.
She and her husband were the king and queen of Whitehall’s Bicentennial Ball in 1976.
She was a past president and secretary of Fullerton American Legion Post 376 Auxiliary, where she managed the kitchen for more than 30 years with her friend, the late Jean L. Ebert. She also enjoyed life membership in the Fullerton Fire Company No. 1 Auxiliary.
Earlier in life, she was an assistant Brownie and Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout den mother.
She is survived by a daughter, Melanie Corbett with husband Glenn of New Plymouth, New Zealand; a son, Craig L. with wife Janet of Slatington; two granddaughters, Stephanie McGregor with husband Sean and Lisa Hoffman with husband Jason; two great-grandchildren, Rainey and Rhys; and a goddaughter, Riley Kulhamer.
She was predeceased by a sister, Anna Woods; and a brother, Raymond Pudleiner.
There will be a calling time 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., May 21 at the church, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall, 18052.
