Retail theft
A 20-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly removed a gaming system, valued at $120, a digital camera, valued at $100, earbuds, valued at $249.99 and a small portable speaker valued at $50 from Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, March 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Someone removed various grocery items with a total value of $397.03 from Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The items were removed by under ringing items in various checkout transactions between Jan. 1 and March 18, according to authorities.
Harassment
A 63-year-old male, of South Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, was cited for harassment after he allegedly struck his neighbor in the face because he believed the neighbor was putting mulch on his lawn, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 4:54 p.m. April 26, according to authorities.
Burglary
Someone broke into a residence along Morning Star Drive, Lower Macungie Township and removed jewelry between 6:30 p.m. and 11:56 p.m. April 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft
A resident of Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned of $535.23 of fraudulent charges to her Electronic Benefits Transfer encoded payment card, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 4.
Theft by deception
A resident of Schultz Bridge Road, Lower Milford Township, found out the email of a business he was contacting had its email account hacked and money he wired transferred to the business had gone to an unknown person’s bank account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 4.
A resident of Powder Lane, Lower Milford Township, learned a fraudulent business was opened using his personal information, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 6.
Crashes
A motorist appeared to have suffered a medical emergency and crashed into a utility pole along Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:07 a.m. April 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was traveling north on Brookside Road. Macungie Ambulance Corps transported the motorist to Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard. Mechanics Plus towing also responded.
A motorist was traveling east on Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, around 9:47 a.m. April 10 when she veered off the right side of the road and hit the end of a guide rail, causing the vehicle to spin, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was described by authorities as “distracted by her cellular device while driving.” The motorist and her two passengers were not hurt in the crash.
A van driver allegedly “failed to obey” a red light and struck a second vehicle which then overturned and crashed into a third vehicle along Hamilton Boulevard near Schantz Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:55 p.m. May 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The van was westbound on Hamilton Boulevard. The second vehicle, a compact SUV, was traveling northbound on Schantz Road, heading through the intersection with a posted green traffic signal, according to authorities. The van crashed into the SUV and the SUV overturned and rolled into a luxury sedan. All three motorists refused ambulance transport. Macungie Ambulance also responded.
