Whitehall track and field swept Central in a meet from April 29.

The girls won 84-62 while the boys won 83-63, setting the stage for this week’s EPC track and field meet.

Edrien Lee remains near the top of the 100 and 200 events league-wide, and she came away with firsts in both. Her time in the 100 was 12.1 and in the 200 was 26.3.

Llyneida Otanez swept the hurdles with times of 15.8 in the 100 and 47.3 in the 300.

Janelle Kies took the pole vault with a 5-5 and Maya Williams won the high jump with a 5-0. Laney Headman won the shot with a throw of 28-1 and Dayna Nelson took the discus with a throw of 76-8.5.

Jaylene Wilson, Lee, Vinessa Eggleston and Roseline Zulu led the 400 relay to a win while Mekenna Reichenbah, Zulu, Otanez and Wilson took first in the 1600 relay.

For the boys, they won the meet with a strong showing in the hurdles and field events.

Deakon Smith won both hurdles with time of 16.2 and 44.6.

Parker Ziegenfuss with a double-winner in the throws winning the javelin with a 124-6 and the discus with a 108-11.5. Tristan Quach won the pole vault clearing 6-6 and Justin Hussett took the long jump with a distance of 20-1. Tyler Tehonica won the shot with a throw of 43-1.

The 400 relay team of Ben Pychinka, Zavyer Fabian-Ubiera, Nolan Hudak and Bryce Medina won the 400 relay for the Zephs while it was Hudak, Kihan Resto, Jeff Etea and Smith winning the 1600 relay.
