Catasauqua High School students Dakota Velas and Hamaad Jenkins were recently selected as the high school’s Colonial League Academic All-Stars for the 2025-26 academic year.

Velas and Jenkins are two great representatives of Catasauqua Area School District. Congratulations to both of them for their hard work and on this well-deserved honor!

A shout-out to CHS student Hannah Decker for her recent participation in the Girl Scouts of Eastern PA Take the Lead event. Decker participated in an interview process and was one of only four Scouts chosen to job shadow one of this year’s honorees, Dr. Elizabeth Meade, president of Cedar Crest College. During the event, Decker spoke about her experience and had the honor of presenting Meade with her award.

Congratulations to Decker for achieving such big things outside the classroom!

CHS students will take the Keystone exams on the following days: literature, June 11 and 12; biology, June 13; and algebra, June 18 and 19.

CHS students will have their prom May 15.

The senior awards ceremony is set for 9-11 a.m. May 27.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 27, there will be the athletic awards ceremony.

Lehigh Career and Technical Institute’s senior recognition night is right around the corner. The Class of 2026’s special night is 6:30 p.m. May 28 at PPL Center in Allentown.

Doors open 5:30 p.m.

During this annual celebration, you’ll hear from inspiring student speakers, witness the presentation of certificates to all of LCTI’s seniors and the distribution of several schoolwide awards. You and your loved ones will want to be there for all the fun and memory-making.

The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 will be held 10-11:30 a.m. May 30 in the school gymnasium.

Students will have early dismissals June 8-10. CHS students will be dismissed 11:15 a.m.

No lunches will be served.
