Paws in the Parkway, set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 9 at Whitehall Parkway, 3219 S. Church St., is a day of celebration of our furry four-legged companions and the community. There will be vendors, demonstrations, food and refreshments, rescue groups, a dog parade and family fun for all. Agility and K-9 demonstrations will be held at the top of each hour, beginning 11 a.m. and culminating with a best-costume contest 2:30 p.m.

Whitehall Township Public Library will also be on site reading pet stories.

Well-mannered, leashed dogs are welcome, although a waiver must be signed.

Proceeds benefit local animal shelters through Whitehall Area Rotary Foundation.
