Mary G. Shore, 75, of Lower Macungie Township, died April 19, 2026. Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late Margaret M. (Carlin) and John A. Gallagher. She was the wife of Dr. Stephen R. Shore.

She had a successful and acclaimed career in nursing. She planned and designed the open-heart unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital where she was the head nurse for many years. She was involved in nursing research and was the recipient of the Award for Friends of Nursing for Management. She was instrumental in securing the signage for the Kelly Gallagher Atrium in the cancer center at Lehigh Valley Hospital in honor of her niece.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Amy Devenuto and her husband, Matt, Marci and her husband, Tim Snyder; sons, Daniel and his wife, Meredeth Rouse, Robert and his wife, Ariana; grandchildren, Kayla, Brianna, Talia, Kalev; sister, Susan Stavros; brothers, Tom, Jerry and his wife, Ann; nephews.

She was preceded in death by niece, Kelly; sister-in-law, Sherry.
