Martha “Marty” L. Barnes, 82 of Allentown, died April 25, 2026. Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Ammon E. and Martha K. (Kuntz) Laudermilch. She was the wife of Norman F. Lucas and the former wife of the late Robert A. Barnes, DO.

She graduated from Palmyra High School in 1961 and from Elizabethtown College in 1965.

She was a dedicated elementary schoolteacher before retiring. She was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Allentown where she helped start and then she led the Susanna Circle for over 30 years.

She had many hobbies and passions. She was an avid Phillies fan and reader.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Debra Paolucci and her husband, Lawrence, of Grosse Pointe, Mich.; Elizabeth “Betsy” Bartolucci and her husband, Donald, of Allentown; son, Robert Brian, DO and his wife, Kathryn, of Macungie; brother, James Laudermilch, of Harrisburg; stepson, Steven Lucas and his wife, Jenny; stepdaughter, Amy Lucas; grandchildren, Victor and Anastasia Paolucci, Brendan and Brynn Atticks, Julia Bartolucci, Abigail, Amanda and Robert T.; step-grandchildren, Francesca Marsh, Valentina and James Bartolucci, Maya Vallejo.

A visitation will be held 9-10:45 a.m. May 9 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, PA 18104. A funeral service will commence 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service in the church 12:25-1:30 p.m.
