Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., will host a concert by Uncle Smiley 7-10 p.m. May 2. There is a small cover charge.

Catasauqua Garden Club will hold its next meeting 1 p.m. May 6 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. This month’s topic is a workshop to learn floral arrangements from Deb Mellish, a longtime member and past president.

Workshop participants should bring a 2- to 5-inch container and scissors or a cutting utensil. Fresh flowers and filler will be provided.

There is a cost for visitors.

Catasauqua Area Community Choir will begin rehearsals May 7. Those interested in participating can stop by 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St.

Holy Trinity would like to remind the congregation to save their Redner’s receipts. When you make a purchase, give your card to the cashier to scan. The total points will show at the bottom of your receipt.

Place receipts in the basket in the giving area in the back of the sanctuary, so the points can be submitted. Holy Trinity receives 1% of the purchase, and this can add up to a significant contribution towards Bear Creek camperships.
