3v3 Basketball Showdown at Rockne Hall May 1

These past couple weeks, students at Allentown Central Catholic High School have been busy excelling in academics, athletics and community events.

On April 10, ACCHS was honored to welcome Bishop Alfred Schlert, who celebrated Mass during the Octave of Easter.

On April 12, our scholastic scrimmage team hosted six partner schools for its annual Academic Bowl. Congratulations to St. Michael the Archangel for their first place win and St. Thomas for finishing second.

ACCHS was also recognized for its creativity when students accepted the Diocese of Allentown’s “Best Lip Sync” award at the “Make a Joyful Noise” ceremony April 13. That same day, Viking tennis celebrated its Senior Night at Cedar Crest College, honoring their dedication and leadership throughout the season.

Later that week, the senior class attended its Philly Shrine Hop Retreat. They spent the day visiting important churches and spent time in prayer and reflection.

On April 22, ACCHS hosted a college planning night for families, where admissions representatives shared helpful guidance and advice about the college process.

The SAP Team and Center for Humanistic Change partnered together to host lunchtime activities promoting drug and alcohol awareness April 23. More than 100 students participated in the event. Way to go Vikes!

Congratulations to Tommy Spinosa for earning third place in the District 11 2A Tennis Singles Tournament.

Viking Baseball celebrated its Senior Night April 24 for their seniors’ commitment to the program.

The sophomore student council will host its 3v3 Basketball Showdown 12:30 p.m. May 1 in Rockne Hall.
