Salem Christian School Performing Arts Department presents “Narnia: The Musical”
“Some journeys take us far from home” and Salem Christian School’s Performing Arts Department took the audience on its journey April 16-18 at the school in Upper Milford Township with its production of “Narnia: The Musical!”
The production was done in special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.
The “exciting journey is a story filled with wonder, discovery, and redemption.”
Director Gretchen Geyer utilized the older students as directors, assistant directors and choreographers to build the production.
The pit orchestra was provided by adults. Deb Houseknecht played piano, Rick Houseknecht utilized his electric guitar, Vince Landis provided percussion and Christian Howard played the violin for the production.
Brian Strausser served as technical manager and soundboard assistants included Olya Howard and Lydia Pruitt.
Calista Eisele served as costume manager/designer and consultant while costume/props curator (and fodder for Narnians) was provided by Kim Donovan.
The students performed four shows April 16 through April 18.
Members of the cast: Elijah Bednar, Ely Longacre, Jadynn McNamara, Max Menza, Elsie Reese, Brad Reinhart, Regan Rogers, Abigail Sands, Mikayla McSloy, Nathan Schwarz and Daniel Velez.
Ensemble members: Mia Black, Eliza Chambers, Lukas Chambers, Courtney Deily, Iliana Howard, Zion Landis, Ely Longacre, Max Menza, Elisa Ripka, Mason Russell, Abbie Scott, Jonathan Shupp and Vitti Reed.
White Stag Ensemble Dancers: Courtney Deily, Iliana Howard, Zion Landis, Vitti Reed and Abbie Scott.
Advertising and publicity was handled by Jonathan Schwarz.
The stage crew members included: Zach and Elizabeth Eshbach, Abigail Sands, Avery Rogers, Danny Goodman, Elizabeth Schwarz, Mikayla McSloy, Nathan Schwarz, Sam Mechler, Tyler Brinckman and Julia Howard.
Club hosts included: Chet Geyer, Lon Brinckman, Adrian Russell Jr., Adyssen Hofmann, Hayden Eshbach, Jenna Schultz, Lydia Pruitt, Tyler Brinckman, Gia Reed, and Roman Reed. Grace Augustin, Hudson Eshbach, Lilyana Pruitt, Mason Russell, Natalie Russell and Noah Williams. They were advised by Christian Howard and Ken Kristiansen.
Avery Rogers was in charge of the electrical work.
The students, staff and parents put in countless hours of hard work to make this production possible and thanked the community for its support.
