District News: Band concert set for April 24

Northampton Area High School’s spring band concert will take place 7-8 p.m. April 24 in the school auditorium.

Reminder: The elementary instrument safari and parent meeting will be held 6:30-7:30 p.m. April 23 in the cafeteria at George Wolf Elementary School.

Northampton Area Middle School’s yearbooks are on sale now. Visit NAMS’ 540 page online and scan the QR code or visit dansyearbook.shopyearbook.com/view_account.asp?yearbook_id=101703 for pricing and ordering.

The deadline to order is April 25.

NAHS’ spring chorus concert will be 7-8 p.m. May 1 in the auditorium.

Northampton Area School District will have a policy committee meeting 6-7 p.m. May 4 in the library conference room at NAHS.

Members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Lehigh Elementary School’s PTO group will meet 6:30-8 p.m. May 5 in the cafeteria of the school.

On May 5, Lehigh and Northampton elementary schools’ spring band concert will be 7-8 p.m. in the auditorium at NAHS.

Moore Elementary School will be holding its chorus and orchestra spring ensemble concert 7-8 p.m. May 6 in the school gymnasium.

NAMS’ eighth-grade farewell dance will be held 6-8 p.m. May 8 in the school gymnasium. The theme is “Night in New York City.”

Tickets are $5 (cash only) and on sale during lunch; students will need their ID to purchase tickets.

The Class of 2026 commencement ceremony has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. May 29. The ceremony will be held at Al Erdosy Stadium.

The rain dates are set for May 30 and 31, with the time to be determined.

More information will be announced soon for all senior families.

The Kids Swim Club will be offering seasonal swim programs and swim lessons.

NAMS’ and NAHS’ food pantries are available to those in need to help prepare nutritious meals. Both pantries offer food, clothing and hygiene products to students and their families.

Please consider donating to the schools’ food pantries.
