DUI

A 56-year-old male motorist, of Pottstown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after his vehicle became disabled in the area of Minesite Road and South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 11:27 p.m. Feb. 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 47-year-old male motorist, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of Chestnut Street and North Fourth Street in Emmaus borough 2:26 a.m. Jan. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 44-year-old male motorist, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence near a residence along Stein Way, Lower Macungie Township, 2:52 a.m. Feb. 14 after a caller reported a person driving around their residence and yelling, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI crash

A 67-year-old female motorist, of Emmaus, allegedly was driving under the influence in a one-vehicle crash along South Fifth Street, Upper Milford Township, 7:13 p.m. Feb. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was traveling south when she drove off the roadway and into a field, according to authorities.

Scam

A resident of Pasture Lane, Lower Macungie Township, was swindled out of $3,200 after buying fake gold through an online auction website, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 27, according to authorities.

Someone swindled a resident of Stonebridge Drive, Lower Macungie Township, out of $2,000 in digital currency, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Feb. 18, according to authorities.

A caller claiming to be from the Lehigh County Sheriff department convinced a resident of Kaitlyn Road, Lower Macungie Township, to send $6,000 in digital currency Feb. 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Retail theft

Someone removed meat and seafood, with a total value of $593.51, from supermarket Giant, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A male removed various perfumes and other items, with a total value of $881, from retailer Ulta Beauty, 833 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Authorities described the male as having allegedly “concealed items of merchandise on his person before exiting the store without paying for the items.”

Two people concealed Versace Eros perfume, valued at $170 and a two-piece gift set of Versace Dylan Purple perfume, valued at $89 and left without paying for the items at retailer Ulta Beauty, 833 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 36-year-old male and a 38-year-old male, both of Hellertown, were charged with retail theft at home improvement retailer Home Depot, 5877 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Drug possession

A 25-year-old female, of Effort, allegedly had a small amount of marijuana at a two-vehicle crash along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 3 p.m. March 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Underage drinking

A 17-year-old male, of Emmaus and a 17-year-old male, of New Jersey, were cited for consuming alcohol while under 21 years of age after a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 12:58 a.m. Feb. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Crash

A Catasauqua motorist escaped injury when her vehicle crashed into another vehicle which was damaged in an accident minutes before along Zionsville Road, Lower Milford Township, 5:45 p.m. Feb. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was traveling east on Zionsville Road when she lost control of the vehicle while on a left curve. The vehicle slid off the road and over an embankment before crashing into the second vehicle, which was damaged in an accident minutes before the second crash. Crews from Macungie Ambulance and Hauser’s Towing also responded, according to authorities.

Harassment

A 20-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was taken into custody after a verbal argument involving another person became physical at a location along Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:30 p.m. March 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Someone allegedly pointed a firearm at two people in the 5600 block of Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, 11:10 p.m. March 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Weapon on school property

Troopers were called to Willow Lane Elementary School, 6135 Sauerkraut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, for a student allegedly having a pocketknife at school 10:51 a.m. Feb. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Criminal mischief

A vehicle was egged while parked along Orchard Road, Lower Milford Township, 9:25 a.m. Jan. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft

A trailer was removed from a location along Clauss Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The trailer was noticed as missing Feb. 28, according to authorities.

A resident of Hunt Drive, Lower Macungie Township, paid $20,834.50 for renovations to their home in September 2024 and the work was not completed, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 11 at the state police barracks.

Burglary

Someone entered a residence along North Hedgerow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 10:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Feb. 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Identity theft

A resident of Grange Road, Lower Macungie Township, provided personal information to a person impersonating an Amazon representative in telephone calls Feb. 24 and March 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident provided the information after being threatened, according to authorities.

Vehicle theft

Someone removed a 2007 T2410 New Holland tractor, valued at $20,000, from a location in the 1600 block of Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township, between Jan. 13 and Jan. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Endangering the welfare of a child

A 44-year-old female, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly endangering the welfare of a child after a child at daycare/childcare facility Lehigh Children’s Academy, 5910 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, was reported to authorities as crawling on the floor and finding a nicotine smoking device, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Disorderly conduct

A 12-year-old male, of Macungie, was among juveniles who allegedly brought toy guns to a school in the 5600 block of Buckeye Road, Lower Macungie Township, between Jan. 22 and Jan. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
