The Freedom girls soccer team had a tough draw to open District 11 play, having to take on Emmaus. The girls played hard but fell to the Hornets 1-0 in regulation. The Hornets goal came from Lizzy Bender off a corner. It was her 21st goal of the season. The Hornets outshot the Pates 14-2 as Sadie Wallace stopped both shots for Emmaus. Freedom keeper Brooklyn Pronovich, pictured here saving a shot by Giuliana Meyer (left), saved 13 shots.
