Terroristic threats

A threat was made through social media to a resident of Tomahawk Lane, Upper Milford Township, 12:03 a.m. March 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI

A motorist was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 7:24 p.m. March 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A motorist was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of Lower Macungie Road and Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 11:05 p.m. March 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Scam

A resident of Bradford Lane, Lower Macungie Township, was swindled out of approximately $46,000 in an online scam, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported to authorities March 21.

A resident of Castle Court, Lower Macungie Township, was persuaded to send $400 through a digital payment network when he believed the funds would be used to recover $313.99 fraudulently said to have been charged to his online payment account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Feb. 3.

A resident of Pine Grove Circle, Lower Macungie Township, told authorities he was swindled out of approximately $18,000 by someone posing as a bank representative, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Feb. 13.

A caller swindled two residents of Carls Hill Road, Upper Milford Township, out of $1,900 when the caller convinced the residents an “order of arrest’ existed against one of the residents, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Someone tried to swindle a resident of Butz Road, Lower Macungie Township, by attempting to convince her to withdraw money to give the caller in connection with charges made on her bank account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Feb. 26. The resident did not lose money in the scam attempt.

Retail theft

An 81-year-old female, of Allentown, allegedly was responsible for 26 retail thefts between Dec. 23, 2024 and March 29 at Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 22-year-old male, of Breinigsville and a 21-year-old female, of Allentown, were taken into custody for alleged retail theft after loss prevention personnel saw them concealing merchandise described as workout equipment valued at $141 at retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:39 p.m. April 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Someone removed merchandise valued at $254 from a retailer located along North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:54 p.m. March 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Someone removed a bottle of wine, valued at $6.35, from retailer Fine Wine and Good Spirits, 750 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 35-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly failing to scan 57 miscellaneous items, with a total value of $527.77, at a self-checkout terminal at retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 38-year-old male, of North Carolina, was arrested at retailer DSW, 833 N. Krocks Road, Suite 107, Lower Macungie Township, after state police were called for an alleged retail theft happening at the store 2:17 p.m. Jan. 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Someone removed merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods, 707 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:07 p.m. March 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft of services

Someone dumped garbage and household items into a dumpster at a business along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, between 5 p.m. March 28 and 7 p.m. March 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

A 52-year-old female, of Ambler, was cited for alleged harassment after an argument became a fight at a location along Furnace Hill Road, Upper Milford Township, March 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 42-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested for alleged harassment after an incident at a location in the 1800 block of Aster Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:10 p.m. April 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Hit and run crash

A white pickup truck towing a trailer hit a utility pole while westbound on Main Road West, Upper Milford Township, 10:20 p.m. April 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle fled the crash scene, according authorities. Vera Cruz firefighters and PPL personnel also responded. The property owner was notified of damage to grass and an electrical unit.

Theft by deception

A resident of Primrose Lane, Lower Milford Township, learned his personal information was used to create a business website, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The website listed the resident’s home address as the location of the business, according to authorities.
