Aggravated assault

Tywain Range, 35, of Allentown, was taken into custody on charges of alleged aggravated assault, child endangerment, simple assault and harassment after allegedly striking a woman with a closed fist and an open hand across the face, throwing the woman against a wall and choking her while she was holding an infant at a location in the 200 block of West Chestnut Street, Macungie, Feb. 13, according to Macungie police. The woman had visible marks and bruises on her face and neck, according to authorities. Range allegedly fled when police were called but was found nearby after a short search. Range also was on state parole at the time of the incident, according to authorities.

Defiant trespass

Jael Manuel Sanchez, 25, of Macungie, was charged with alleged defiant trespass after he returned to Domino’s Pizza, 171 W. Main St., Macungie, Feb. 1, according to Macungie police. Sanchez was banned from the store several times for past incidents and went into the store knowing he was not to return to the location, according to authorities. He was seated in the pizza store when officers arrived and removed him from the location, according to Macungie police.

Drug possession

Jael Manuel Sanchez, 25, of Macungie, was charged with alleged possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police found him walking in the area of the 100 block of Village Walk Drive, Feb. 26, according to Macungie police. Sanchez allegedly had THC vapes and cigars and marijuana at the time, according to authorities.

Theft

Someone removed $200 cash from a residence in the 200 block of West Chestnut Street, Macungie, between Jan. 23 and Jan. 24, according to Macungie police.

Harassment

A person described as an older white male allegedly makes lewd comments to a woman who regularly walks in the area of 10 W. Main St., Macungie, according to Macungie police. The male is believed to live in the area.

Fraud

Someone debited $499.99 from a bank account several times without authorization to do so, according to Macungie police. The bank alerted the account holder to the transactions. The incident was reported to police Feb. 6 on advice from the bank. Someone opened a cellular phone account and received a phone without authorization to do so, generating a bill of $1,500, according to the Macungie police. The incident was reported Feb. 11. Criminal mischief

A dark colored sedan was seen driving way from the area of the intersection of Village Walk Drive and Brookfield Drive with a stop sign hanging out the back window from inside the vehicle Feb. 24, according to Macungie police. The person who contacted police heard car tires screech and a vehicle accelerate moments before seeing the sedan, according to authorities. Road rage

A driver’s front passenger tire was slashed by another person in an incident near retailer Dollar General, 155 W. Main St., Feb. 19, according to Macungie police. According to a news release, a driver honked at a black sedan blocking a driving lane in the parking lot. The driver of the sedan allegedly got out of the vehicle and slashed the tire, valued at $90.04, according to authorities. The driver who allegedly slashed the tire was described as a male with a beard wearing a black jacket, beanie and sneakers, sunglasses and blue jeans.
