EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My mom’s name is Tara Furniss. My brothers’ names are Bryan, Aidan, Scott and Cam. My dog’s name is Fergus.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. I really like calculus because the teacher is nice and does a good job teaching.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I was inducted into National Honor Society. I made high honor roll every marking period.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?

A. I do winter track, basketball, flag football, Key Club, Chess Club, Red Cross Club, Spanish Club. These activities gave me the opportunity to meet new people, manage my time and have fun.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge to date was learning Spanish online.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I will attend college to earn a degree and MBA in finance.

Q. Whom do you hope to emulate? Why?

A. I hope to emulate my mom because she always supports and takes care of me and my brothers. I hope to live life with the same positivity and support of others.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered for being honest, hardworking and thoughtful to others.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice to my peers is to always do your work, participate in class and join clubs and activities to make school more fun.
