Adaptive Bicycle Day brings new rides to local students

Three youngsters with Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21, Schnecksville, were treated to adaptive mobility devices at the headquarters, 4210 Independence Drive, Schnecksville, recently as part of Adaptive Bicycle Day.

The mobility devices allow the youngsters and parents a more functional mode of transportation during their daily activities.

The devices were gifted in part by The Children’s Charity, CLIU and Blackburn’s Durable Medical Equipment, Pittsburgh. Randy Prunty, representing Blackburn’s, assisted family and support professionals with fitting each device to their child.
