District News: NAMS PTA group schedules March 21 meeting

Northampton Area Middle School’s PTA group will be holding its next monthly meeting 5-6 p.m. March 21.

Elementary PTA groups will host a basket social 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 23 at Siegfried Elementary School to raise funds for students and faculty of Northampton Borough Elementary Schools.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 for one sheet (26) or $15 for two sheets (52).

Moore Elementary School will be having its fifth-grade and clubs picture day March 26.

Northampton Area School District’s spring community classes are underway. This program offers a diverse range of courses that cater to personal interests and promote fitness and leisure activities. The courses are taught by experienced instructors and are priced affordably.

The last country line dancing class will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. March 26.

Other community classes include aqua aerobics 7:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays April 9-May 30; yoga sculpt 7-8 p.m. April 4, 11, 18 and 25; and lap swim 7:30-8:30 p.m. May 1, 8, 15 and 22.

All classes are held at NASD locations.

Northampton Borough Elementary will have its spring fling dance 6-8 p.m. April 12 at the Siegfried building.

The elementary string concert will be 7-8:30 p.m. April 12 in the auditorium at Northampton Area High School.

Moore families, it’s time to order your yearbook! Ordering is open through April 15. Fliers were sent home.

Note: Orders are done online only, and no extra copies will be sold at the school.

NASD is in need of substitute teachers, instructional assistants, custodians, health room assistants, nurses, hall monitors and security guards. If you have a teaching degree or a bachelor’s degree in any area, you can be of service.
