Northampton Area Public Library bylaws require Northampton Area School District Board of Education to approve the NAPL board of trustees, school Director Kim Bretzik said at the NASD school board March 11 meeting.

In an email to a reporter for Northampton Press, Bretzik said the reference she made at the meeting concerning a funding agreement for NAPL by NASD dating to 1964 was from a 1980s’ news article.

Bretzik was misquoted in a March 14 article in Northampton Press.

The Press regrets the error.
