Moore Township: Block shoot, raffle to be held March 17

Moore Township Lions Club will be holding a block shoot and meat raffle 1-5 p.m. March 17 at Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road.

The event is for 12-gauge with a 30-inch barrel length limit. Shells will be provided.

Door prizes and free refreshments are included with tickets. There will be a cash drawing.

Moore Township Recreation Committee’s next meeting is planned for 7 p.m. March 21 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive. The committee’s goals are to assist township children and families. Consider supporting its important work.

Moore Township Lioness-Lions Club will hold a spring penny party March 24 at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company’s social hall, 2718 Mountain View Drive.

The party will begin 11:30 a.m., with the games beginning 1 p.m.

The kitchen opens 11:30 a.m. with homemade food, including baked goods.

Bring your own pennies or purchase them at the event. There will be door prizes, an Easter dinner basket raffle and a tricky tray.

Moore Township Land and Environmental Protection Board next meets April 8. Meetings are held 7 p.m. in the township municipal building, 2491 Community Drive.

Bingo is held 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company. The night includes prizes, progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank and wash line bingo.

Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, hosts Boy Scout Troop 74 meetings 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday in the social hall. Boy Scouts are for boys and girls 10 years old and up.
