Catasauqua Youth Athletic Association’s adults-only bingo and basket raffle are set for March 2 at Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St. Doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo begins 1 p.m.

There will be 20 games with cash prizes, special bingo games, a 50/50 raffle, a basket raffle, door prizes, concessions and a cash bar.

There is a Home and School meeting set for 6-7 p.m. March 7 at Sheckler.

Sheckler’s literacy night is set for March 7. Doors open for Roughie Readers Rock 5:45 p.m., and the fun will begin 6-8 p.m.

The Scholastic book fair will be running, along with chances to play bingo, win basket prizes and enjoy sweet treats from the fourth-grade Baking Club!

There will be no school for students March 8 for a teacher in-service day.

Kindergarten registration is open for the 2024-25 school year. Eligible students must live within the boundaries of CASD and must turn 5 years old before Sept. 1.

To register, visit Sheckler’s Facebook page for the link to complete initial forms. You will then receive an email notification about scheduling the in-person registration appointment at Sheckler on either March 8 or May 16.

Fourth-grade students have begun work on their science fair projects. All projects are due March 13.

Catasauqua High School Drama Club will be presenting Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella: Enchanted Edition,” set for 7 p.m. March 15-16 and 2 p.m. March 17.
