Missing Emmaus woman found dead in Upper Milford Township

A missing Emmaus woman has been found dead in Upper Milford Township.

Catherine E. Blank, 46, was reported missing from a location in the 100 block of South Main Street in Alburtis borough and was last seen in the area of the 5300 block of Indian Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Feb. 13, according to a news release from Alburtis police dated Feb. 13.

According to a news release from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center dated Feb. 14, Blank was pronounced dead 8:24 a.m. that day in the 4700 block of Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township.

An autopsy to determine Blank’s cause of death was scheduled Feb. 16, according to authorities.

In a news release dated Feb. 16, the coroner’s gave the following statement.

“The autopsy for Catherine Blank was completed today. The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.”

Alburtis police asked for help to find Blank in a news release dated Feb. 13.

According to authorities, Blank was found outside wearing the same clothing she was described as wearing when she went missing: a tan dress.

Alburtis police described her on Feb. 13 as not wearing shoes or a jacket.

Investigating agencies also include Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
