Home burglarized

in North Whitehall

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say a 51-year-old North Whitehall Township man reported his home on Nuss Way was burglarized sometime between 6:15 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 4.

According to police, a Sony Playstation 4, valued at $50, two Sony Playstation 4 controllers and a metal safe, all valued at $10 each, various .50 cent coins valued at $100, and the man’s Social Security card and passport were all stolen during the burglary.

Vehicle damaged

in north Whitehall

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say a 38-year-old Allentown man reported his tires and back windshield on his 2015 Nissan Altima were damaged around 1:24 a.m. Dec. 21, 2023 at 4255 Independence Drive, North Whitehall Township. Police say charges were filed against Anas Mdarhri, 19, of Allentown, with Magisterial District Judge Jacob Hammond, South Whitehall Township.

According to police, the tires were valued at $1,343.07 and the back windshield was valued at $459.99.

Vehicle strikes

Sylvain B. Boko, 39, of West Valley, Utah, was operating a 2012 Toyota Camry when it stuck a roadside fence at 8:41 p.m. Jan. 9 on Route 22 West, South Whitehall Township, State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say.

Police allege Boko was driving his car in an unknown lane on Route 22, 100 feet west of North Cedar Crest Boulevard, when he failed to operate it at a reasonable speed for conditions.

The car exited the roadway striking the fence before continued onward into an embankment and coming to a final rest.

According to police, Boko did not remain at the scene to provide information.

The car was towed from the scene by Yocum Towing, police say.

Boko was charged with driving his vehicle at an unsafe speed.

Fraudulent account

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say a 47-year-old man from Creekview Drive, North Whitehall Township, reported his personal information was used to open an account with the Potomac Electric Power Company around 11:05 a.m. Dec. 21, 2023.

No food

leads to altercation

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say a 22-year-old female and a 23-year-old male, both from Allentown, were allegedly involved in a physical altercation over not having food to eat around 5:50 p.m. Jan. 7 on Route 145, North Whitehall Township.

Police allege one struck the other in the face as the other engaged in a striking/shoving fight.

Non traffic citations were filed against both with Magisterial District Judge Jacob Hammond, South Whitehall Township, police say.

Merchandise stolen

from Weis Markets

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say an unidentified white male wearing a black coat, hat, shirt, white sneakers, exited Weis Markets, Route 873, North Whitehall Township, with $256.21 of unpaid items at 2:18 p.m. Dec. 20, 2023. According to police, the man fled the area in a red Saturn bearing an unidentified registration plate.

Truck hits

utility pole

Christopher T. Holloman, 27, of Walnutport, was driving a2020 Ford F-150XLT when it struck an embankment and utility pole at 5:17 a.m. Jan. 12 on Route 145, North Whitehall Township, State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, says.

According to police, Holloman was driving his truck at an unsafe speed south on Route 145 in the area of the Exxon Gas Station, north of Rising Sun Road, when it began to negotiate a left curve in the roadway, losing control due to an ice patch.

It then swerved to the northbound lane and traversed off the right side of the roadway striking the embankment and then the utility pole.

After initial impact, the truck remained in final rest on the shoulder of the northbound lane against the utility pole.

Police say Holloman who was wearing his seat belt did not reported any injuries.

The truck was towed from the scene by Ironton Towing.
