Maintenance and repair contracts in Northampton Area School District were approved 9-0 by the board of education at the Aug. 14 school board meeting.

• Proposal to repair and recoat tennis courts by Pavement Maintenance Contractors Inc. at $42,890, to be completed during summer 2024

• Quote from Tri-Boro Fencing Inc. at $37,459 to replace a fence along Laubach Avenue on the tennis court and softball field side

• Quote from Tri-Boro Fencing at $6,973 to replace the fence bordering the basement stairwell in the vicinity of a generator at Northampton Area High School

• Five-year service agreement, effective Sept. 1-Aug. 31, 2028, with Trane Building Services for service to Northampton Area Middle School and Lehigh Elementary School HVAC direct/digital controls systems: 2023-24, $16,472; 2024-25, $16,966; 2025-26, $17,475; 2026-27, $17,999; and 2027-28, $18,539

• Five-year chiller service contract with Trane U.S. Inc., effective July 1, 2024-June 30, 2029, at: 2024-25, $21,990; 2025-26, $22,650; 2026-27, $23,330; 2027-28, $24,030; and 2028-29, $24,751

• Purchase districtwide door/prop alarms by Neobits Inc. at $69,364.49, funded by School Mental Health and Safety and Security Grant

• One-year service agreement with Cintas Inc. for service and inspection of district fire alarm and sprinkler systems, to renew yearly unless canceled. The financial amount of the agreement was not stated.

• Three-year service agreement with H.T. Lyons to annually service, test and document the district’s 23 backflow preventers at: year one, $4,820; year two, $5,020; and year three, $5,220

• Proposal from Otis Elevator Company at $29,250 to upgrade the elevator at George Wolf Elementary School

• Quote with Johnson Controls Inc. for upgrades to district HVAC direct/digital controls systems at $147,940

• Five-year service agreement, effective July 1-June 30, 2028, with Johnson Controls for service to district HVAC direct/digital controls systems at: 2023-24, $21,500; 2024-25, $24,811; 2025-26, $25,556; 2026-27, $26,323; and 2027-28, $27,113
