Accident

A construction worker was hurt when he was struck by a pickup truck in a construction zone in the 4000 block of Main Road West, Upper Milford Township, 11:39 a.m. Sept. 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist, of Emmaus, did not realize there was a construction worker in the road directing traffic, according to authorities. The construction worker was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, for treatment.

Two motorists were hurt when their vehicles crashed and one of the vehicles then struck a residence in Lower Macungie Township, 10:54 a.m. Aug. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The accident was detailed as follows: An Alburtis motorist failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Scenic Drive and Schoeneck Road. A second motorist, heading through the intersection struck the first vehicle. The first vehicle then struck a residence. Both drivers were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to authorities. The Lower Macungie Fire Department, Macungie EMS and Stew’s Tire Center also responded.

Burglary

Someone removed 15 cartons of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash from retailer Hamilton Beverage and Smoke, 6366 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 10:18 a.m. Aug. 28.

Harassment

A 49-year-old female, of Allentown and a 66-year-old male, of Coopersburg, were cited for harassment after an incident at a location on Chestnut Hill Church Road, Lower Milford Township, July 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male also was cited for criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged the female’s vehicle.

A 67-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged with harassment after allegedly attempting to strike another person at a location on Kaitlyn Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:13 a.m. Aug. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

One person allegedly slapped another, sparking a larger fight in the lobby of Movie Tavern Trexlertown, 6150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, July 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft from vehicle

Someone removed eight wheels and tires from a Freightliner tractor parked in the lot of a business in the 2800 block of Schoeneck Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 28 and 3:40 a.m. Sept. 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville

Identity theft

A resident of Skytop Drive, Upper Milford Township, learned an AT&T account was opened in their name, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 20.

A resident of Timberidge Lane, Lower Macungie Township, learned an AT&T account was opened in their name, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 22 after AT&T advised the resident to file a police report.

A resident of Hanover Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned someone attempted to use 55,000 airline miles, with a total value of $1,625, to purchase a flight from Ivory Coast, West Africa to Marrakech, Morocco, Sept. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The township resident learned of the attempt and canceled the flight, according to authorities.

A resident of Lone Lane, Lower Milford Township, learned a Verizon account was opened in her name, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 7.

A resident of Wind Hill Road, Lower Milford Township, learned a Chase credit card and checking account were opened in his name, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 7.

A resident of Ludwig Court, Lower Macungie Township, learned someone made three transactions, totaling $581.82, using the resident’s bank information July 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft

Someone removed a wallet, $40 cash and credit cards from two shoppers at Costco, 791 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The credit cards were used at a nearby Target department store to attempt nine different transactions totaling $3,749.

Someone altered and cashed a check removed from a United States Postal Service mailbox along Rolling Green Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A $20 bill was removed from a purse at a location on Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between 3 p.m. July 14 and 7 a.m. July 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Retail theft

Someone removed $1,676 worth of merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods, 707 N. Krocks Road, Suite 101, 4:52 p.m. Sept. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
