A 53-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of Berger Street and 33rd Street SW, Salisbury Township, 2:30 a.m. July 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Accident

A North Carolina motorist fell asleep while driving on Interstate 78 and struck another vehicle, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was traveling eastbound near mile marker 59.1, Salisbury Township, behind another vehicle 11:30 a.m. Aug. 14. Neither driver was injured; however, the vehicle struck from the rear was towed from the scene. The North Carolina motorist allegedly told authorities she fell asleep.
