The Parkland Garden Club will meet Aug. 14 at Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield.

The program “Growing and Using Lavender” will be presented by Wendy Jochems.

She is the owner of Hope Hill Lavender Farm in Pottsville.

Come and learn about this herb and how to grow, harvest and use it in food.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments and socialization.
