Joan S. Wilt, 83, formerly of Macungie, died May 5, 2023, at Parkland Manor, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Donald A. Wilt. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Greno) Koren.

Before retiring, she worked for many years as an LPN at Cedarbrook and prior at The Lutheran Home at Topton.

She will be remembered for enjoying the outdoors, especially watching the birds, gardening, helping others and volunteering at various assisted living communities.

She was an avid baker, baking cakes for her family’s special occasions, a great cook and had a love for cheesesteaks and pizza.

She is survived by a sister, Elaine Solvino; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael; sisters, Irene Kokosky, Mary Brand.

Contributions may be made to the Allentown Rescue Mission or Family Pillars Hospice, c/o the funeral home.
