The Salisbury track and field team competed in its penultimate meet of the regular season last week.

The Falcons were swept in the meet. The Salisbury boys team lost to Pen Argyl 99-37 and fell to Palisades 113.5-31.5, while the Falcon girls team fell 97-43 to Pen Aryl and 120.5-25.5 to Palisades.

Emily Batten was the only event winner for Salisbury, taking first place in the girls 1600-meter run in 5:56.4. Jacob Gibbons took second place in two races for the Falcon boys team.

Both Falcon teams are 0-9 heading into this week’s final regular season meet, slated for Tuesday against Southern Lehigh.

While dual-meet wins have been hard to find this season, the Falcons will enter next week’s postseason when the Colonial League Championships are held at Whitehall on May 9-10. The league championships are held alongside the East Penn Conference meet over next Tuesday and Wednesday at Whitehall. The meet begins at 3 p.m. both days.

One week after leagues, any Falcons who have qualified will compete in the District 11 Class 2A Championships, which will also be held at Whitehall.
