Northampton artist has work at Arthaus

“Season of Contemplation,” featuring abstract works by Northampton-based artist Joseph Billera and Kutztown-based artist Marilyn J. Fox, continues through April 29 in the Arthaus at the Mezz Gallery in Allentown.

A professional photographer, Billera took up painting as therapy after being mugged and shot in 1985 in Washington, D.C.

A former arts writer and gallery director, Fox has painted all her life.

Arthaus at the Mezz is a partnership between RE: find and Allentown Arts Commission. Deborah Rabinsky curated the exhibit.

Arthaus at the Mezz is located in the mezzanine level gallery at Renaissance Allentown Hotel, 12 N. Seventh St. It is open 24 hours a day.
