Michael R. Morrone, 63, of Nazareth, died April 12, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson campus, Easton. He was the husband of Jennie A. (Kilboy) Morrone.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of Jean (Ellinger) and the late Nicholas Morrone of Lake Ariel.

He was a highway patrol officer for the New York Police Department for more than 22 years, retiring in 2001.

He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Staten Island, N.Y.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Michael J. and his wife AmyJoy of Nazareth; a daughter, Kayla R. and wife Daniela of Easton; and three brothers, Robert of Lake Ariel, Charles and wife Debra of Sebring, Fla., and Steven of Springfield, S.C.
