FEB. 27

A dog wandering in the area of North Second and Front streets was reported. The owner was located.

Officers assisted Northampton police with a male attempting to break down a door in the 2100 block of Washington Street.

FEB. 28

A domestic disturbance, involving a male throwing a chair at a person and punching a hole in the wall, brought the police to the unit block of North Fifth Street. The male was placed in a holding cell, and simple assault charges will be filed, police said.

MARCH 3

Officers responded to a complaint in the unit block of South Fourth Street about a driver running a school bus red light.

A welfare check was conducted in the unit block of South Second Street.

Police performed a welfare check at Giant Food Store, 202 Chestnut St.

MARCH 5

A domestic disturbance in the unit block of South Second Street brought police to the scene.

Officers responded to several complaints regarding a previous domestic disturbance and protection-from-abuse order in the unit block of South Second Street. It was suggested pursuing a harassment via communication charge.

Police performed a welfare check on four juveniles from a previous domestic issue in the unit block of South Second Street.

The department assisted North Catasauqua police with a traffic stop at Third and Cypress streets, Northampton.

A possible protection-from-abuse violation in progress brought police to the unit block of South Second Street.

Officers investigated a harassment complaint in the unit block of North Ninth Street.

A harassment complaint in the unit block of North Ninth Street had police on the scene.

The department responded to an alarm in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street.

Police investigated a noise complaint in the 100 block of Coplay Road.

Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Cherry Street. It was discovered the vehicle was stolen so police notified the Lehigh County Auto Theft Task Force and Whitehall police.

A motor vehicle accident brought police to the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

A traffic/sobriety stop in the area of Ash and Ruch streets was handled by police.

Officers responded to a smoke concern in the 200 block of South Sixth Street.

A welfare check was conducted in the 1000 block of Chestnut Street.

Police responded to a disturbance on North Second Street.

A hit and run occurred in the unit block of North Front Street.

The department assisted North Catasauqua police with a domestic disturbance in progress in the 1000 block of Howertown Road.

Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of South Second Street.

MARCH 12

Police assisted a citizen who was removing belongings from an ex-spouse’s residence in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street.

Officers responded to a report of sewage running into a yard in the 100 block of North Ninth Street.
