Accident

A motorist escaped injury when her sport utility vehicle struck another vehicle, toppled onto its side and slid across Interstate 78 westbound in Salisbury Township around 7 p.m. March 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was westbound in the center lane near mile marker 58.8 when her dog jumped into her lap, causing the motorist to jerk the steering wheel to the right and drive the car into the right lane hitting another vehicle, according to authorities. The crash caused the SUV to roll onto its driver’s side and slide before righting itself onto its tires. The second vehicle came to a rest in a ditch on the right shoulder of the highway. The second motorist also was unhurt, according to state police. Yocum Towing also responded.
