Howard Schaeffer again helms Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors

Howard Schaeffer, a Realtor with RE/MAX Real Estate in Allentown, is the new president of the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors.

Schaeffer, a fulltime Realtor since 2003 who specializes in commercial sales, residential home sales, new construction sales and investor relations, is returning to his role as president of the association for one year.

Lori Campbell, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Heritage Real Estate, is to be installed as president in 2024.

Christopher Raad installed Schaeffer as GLVR’s 2023 president at a Jan. 26 induction ceremony at The Club at Twin Lakes. Raad was president of GLVR in 2015-2016 and president of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors in 2021.

Highlighting the technological growth of the Greater Lehigh Valley Multiple Listing Service, expansion of the Greater Lehigh Valley Real Estate Academy, continued focus on charitable giving and community involvement, and a goal to sharpen the association’s bylaws, Schaeffer told the 200 real estate professionals in attendance he was there “for each and every one of you,” and that he was “dedicated to getting the job done for the greater good.

“My mission for 2023 is to continue the previous year’s mission,” Schaeffer said.

“We’re not yet done. I want to see our MLS institute the greatest technology, our Academy to expand and bolster professionalism in our footprint, our advocacy to ensure we are a champion for fair housing and private property rights, and our communications to continue to mature in dynamic outreach to both members and consumers,” said Schaeffer.

In addition to serving on the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors Board of Directors, Schaeffer served on the association’s Grievance Committee from 2016-2018.

Schaeffer has been awarded the RE/MAX Chairman’s Club Award and was elected to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2012. He is team leader for Howard Schaeffer & Associate’s Real Estate Team.

Schaeffer is a former active-duty United State Marine. He is a member of the Lehigh Valley Marine Corp League Detachment 296; Chairman of the Board for the Chapel of Four Chaplains Foundation; National Chaplain, Marine Corps League; President of the Marine Corps League National Foundation and the United States Marines Youth Foundation, Inc., and is a Director on the Board of the Youth Physical Fitness.
