The course is offered at no cost to attendees.

The CRASE course teaches civilians what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. It is designed around the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed in 2004 and provides strategies and guidance for surviving an active shooter situation.

Discussion topics will include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues and considerations for conducting drills.
