Corporal collects gifts for patients at the Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital

PRESS PHOTO BY MARIEKE ANDRONACHE Pennsylvania State Police Cpl. Alexander Figueroa wanted to make a difference in his community. So with the help of the Lower Macungie Fire Station, he organized a toy donation event Dec. 15 and 16 at the Walmart in Trexlertown. On Dec. 17, those toys were donated to Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital. “This is what being part of a community is,” Figueroa said. Hundreds of toys were collected, filling two large containers for distribution. The hope is that these gifts will brighten the spirits of the children who will be spending their holidays under care at the hospital. This is the second year Figueroa organized this gift donation to the hospital.
