Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., is planning its New Year’s Eve celebration - the Silvester Feier - 3-7 p.m. Dec. 31. There will be a hot buffet meal, beer, wine and cake and coffee after 5 p.m.

Musical entertainment will be the Emil Schanta Band.

Ring in the New Year 6 p.m., which is midnight in Vienna, Austria.

The event is open to all members and guests.

Potts Doggie Shop, 2428 Cherryville Road, Northampton, will hold Joey’s Day 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Jan. 8, 2023. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit Joey Groller through the Marie Mazziotta-Alexander Cancer Fund.

Joey is a Whitehall High School sophomore who is battling acute myeloid leukemia.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is planning a chicken potpie pickup dinner for Jan. 21, 2023.

The church is assembling a yearlong celebration for 2023 as the church celebrates its 150th anniversary.

American Club of Coplay, 300 Cherry St., is planning a steak and cash raffle for Feb. 5, 2023.

Coplay Food Bank is accepting donations. Much-needed items are canned sweet potatoes, canned fruit, Jell-O mixes, cereal, peanut butter, jelly and canned pasta like SpaghettiOs, ravioli, etc.

Drop off the items at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

The food bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.
