LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Keystone model railroad hosting holiday events, special hours

Holiday open houses at the Lehigh and Keystone Valley Model Railroad are in full swing. The building at 705 Linden St. is decked out with holiday decorations. Inside the museum a wonderland awaits. A winding layout of local sites on two levels is filled with scenes if interest.

New this year is a scavenger hunt. A laminated sheet from the layout, and the plexiglass screens before the layouts have numbers on them. Find your scenes (it takes some searching) and children can return their completed sheets and dry erase markers for a prize! Some special dates are still upcoming:

The circus train returns today and tomorrow, Friday will be 80s and 90s night. Saturday will be “Foreign Power Satuday.“ The museum will be open special hours both days from 5 to 9 p.m.

On Sunday the museum will be open its regular hours, from 1 to 5 p.m.

On Jan. 6 and 7, the museum will have Modern Train Days. Hours will be 1 to 5 p.m. each day.

Admission is $7 for age 13 and older. Children 12 years and under are free.

Visit the museum on Facebook at Lehigh & Keystone Valley Model Railroad Museum. Their website is www.lkvmodelrailroad.com
