The South Whitehall Township Police Department with the cooperation of Woodlawn, Greenawalds, Cetronia and Tri-Clover fire departments, held a “Last Splash” fun time for children at Covered Bridge Park on Aug. 21.
Using Cetronia’s Tower 3, more than 6,000 gallons of water were sprayed from the aerial bucket’s nozzle over the recreation field allowing children to run, play and romp through the “rain.”
A large number of the children came from the Active Learning Center of Fogelsville.
The weather was perfect for this fun-filled event and a great way for children to end the summer before the first day of school.
The Cetronia Fire Department Tower 3 sprays more than 6,000 gallons of water onto a recreation field at Covered Bridge Park recently for the South Whitehall Township Police Department’s “Last Splash” for the summer of 2026.
Tri-Clover firefighter Val Strock pumps water from Tri-Clover Tanker 26, which holds 3,000 gallons of water. Tankers from Woodlawn and Greenawalds provide an additional 3,700 gallons for the South Whitehall Township Police Department’s “Last Splash.”
