Northampton: Roxy Theatre to show holiday film Dec. 2

Roxy Theatre will host a showing of the holiday film “The Farmer and the Belle, Saving Santa Land,” 7 p.m. Dec. 2. Doors open 6:30 p.m. The movie, rated G, stars local actress Jenn Gotzon and her husband Jim Chandler, both of whom will be at the theater to greet attendees.

The children’s choir from Transformation Church will perform Christmas carols outside the theater.

The cost is $3.


The tree lighting has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the triangle, Main Street and Laubach Avenue. Good Shepherd Catholic School and Pennsylvania Classical Ballet Academy students will perform. Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elf will make a special appearance. New Journey Community Church will serve hot chocolate.


Orders and payment for Grace United Church of Christ’s homemade Christmas candy are due Dec. 4. Pickup is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 17 at the church, 902 Lincoln Ave.
