Lehigh Township: Police department plans movie night

The Lehigh Township Police Department is hosting a movie night 7 p.m. Oct. 7, featuring “Minions - The Rise of Gru,” at Danielsville Park, 1265 Walnut Drive. Bring your blanket and chair, and enjoy free drinks, popcorn and hot dogs.

Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, will hold its 27th annual fall basket social Oct. 7 in Kuntz Hall. Doors open 4 p.m., and the drawing will be held 7:30 p.m.

Barbecue, halushki, soups, filling/gravy and baked goods will be available for purchase.

Donations of themed baskets, gift cards with receipts, wrapped baked goods and cases of water and soda can be dropped off 6-8 p.m. Oct. 6 or 10 a.m.-noon Oct. 7.

Proceeds will be equally divided between Hope Lutheran Good Samaritan Fund and Northampton Area Food Bank.
