Hokendauqua: Pool to close Aug. 19

Parkview Pool will be open noon-5 p.m. through Aug. 19, which is the last day of the 2022 swim season.

Note: The deep end of the pool may be closed at times due to a shortage of lifeguards.

There will be a Miller-Keystone blood drive 3-7 p.m. Aug. 22 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road.

Chick-fil-A, 2610 MacArthur Road, will hold a spirit night fundraiser 5-8 p.m. Aug. 22 for Hokey Athletic Association.

When you tell the restaurant you are there for the fundraiser, 15% of sales will be donated.

Kindergarten through eighth-grade girls involved in Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association’s summer basketball Skills and Drills nights will play one final time, 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at Hokendauqua Park, 3417 Lehigh St.

Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative has free community meals set for the following Hokendauqua locations.

The meals, served 4-6:30 p.m., are guaranteed for the first 100 guests.

Pink Pumpkins Coins 4 Chemo will hold a Bags, Booze and Bucks Bingo Bash event during Harvest Fest Oct. 15 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Doors to the inside vendors and basket raffle open 10 a.m., and doors to the bingo hall open 11 a.m.

Tickets are cheaper when purchased in advance.
