Bath: Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church plans outdoor service July 3

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will hold an outdoor worship service 9:30 a.m. July 3 at the pavilion as the congregation celebrates the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

If the weather does not cooperate, the service will be moved into the fellowship hall.

Get ready for Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish’s annual picnic, set for 5-10 p.m. July 8 and 9 at the 210 E. Northampton St. site. There will be live bands, kids’ games, bingo, homemade traditional foods, food trucks, the angel walk and much more.

Volunteers are needed to make this event successful. Sign-up sheets are in the church entrance areas or you can sign up online.

Denise, from Creative Action Yoga, is continuing her yoga classes, set for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mondays in the fellowship hall of Emmanuel’s Church during July, except for July 4. The next class will be July 11.

Bring a yoga mat or towel, and wear comfortable clothes.

All are welcome. Feel free to bring a friend.

There is a cost.

Bath Area Food Bank distributes food the second Tuesday of each month, starting around 9:30 a.m.

The next distribution is July 12 in the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St.
