KEMPTON Kids programs being offered

Kempton Community Center, 83 Community Center Drive, Kempton, will be offering Artventure Summer Camp between 9 a.m. and noon June 20-24.

Kids ages 8-12 are invited to explore a variety of art making opportunities led by Kathleen Walck, certified K-12 art educator and owner of Local Folk Creative Studio, Kutztown.

Students will paint, draw, build, play and create new friendships at this camp.

Snacks will be provided but each student is required to bring a water bottle.

This camp is limited to 20 students.

There is a small fee for kids to attend.

The center will also offer a youth tennis clinic 5:30-6:30 p.m. for 5- to 8-year-olds and from 6:45-8 p.m. for 9- to 12-year-olds July 18-22 at the Kempton Community Center gym and tennis courts.

This introductory tennis program is designed to give each child the opportunity to play tennis as a team sport, just like other youth sports.

Low compression balls and modified equipment will be used.

No previous tennis experience is necessary.

There is a fee for each child to participate.

Deadline to register is July 1.
