CMS News: Last day of classes is June 8

There is an 11 a.m. early dismissal time June 3-8 leading up to the last day of school.

The eighth-grade promotion will be 8:30 a.m. June 7 in the school auditorium.

The last day of school for the rest of the students is June 8.

Catasauqua Community Cares Program is holding sign-ups for food distribution for the summer months.

Distributions will be 6-6:30 p.m. every Wednesday starting June 8 at CMS, 850 Pine St. Each week, families will receive items for breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Sign up by emailing C3P@cattysd.org and give the name and grade of your student(s).

The Catasauqua Park and Playground summer activity schedule has been announced.

Activities will run June 13-July 22 at the park, 501 American St.

Nerf baseball games are set for 9:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the three dips baseball field by the pool for youths in first through 11th grades.

Basketball league games are 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the basketball court for youths in first through eighth grades.

Basketball pickup games are set for 1-3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the playground for ages ninth grade to adults.

There will be no Nerf baseball or basketball games June 27-July 1.

The summer activity programs are free of charge, and no registration is required.
